Demi Moore was a new star in the 1980s, a decade full of high goals and bold fashion.
These pictures take us back to that exciting time, when Demi was just starting to get famous and was surrounded by a world of big hair, daring choices, and raw ambition.
Moore’s inherent charisma and magnetism filled up every frame long before she became famous. She embodied the bold energy and creativity of the 1980s.

Demi Moore’s first movie was Choices (1981), a sports drama directed by Silvio Narizzano in which she played the girlfriend of the main character.
The movie didn’t get much notice at first, but it did get more attention when it was released on home video, which highlighted Moore’s early role after she became famous.
Her next movie, the 3-D sci-fi thriller Parasite (1982), was made while director Charles Band was looking for “the next Karen Allen” for the job.
Moore had already joined the cast of the ABC soap General Hospital by then. She played investigative reporter Jackie Templeton until 1983, which made her even more well-known on film.

Moore’s acting career really took off in 1984 when she starred in the erotic comedy Blame It on Rio and then in No Small Affair with Jon Cryer.
But it was her role in Joel Schumacher’s St. Elmo’s Fire (1985) that really made her famous.
Even though the reviews were divided, the movie did well at the box office and made Moore famous.

After The Scarlet Letter (1995), The Juror (1996), and G.I. Jane (1997), Demi Moore made a lot less movies because these ones didn’t do as well at the box office as she had hoped.
Over the next few years, she had a mix of leading and supporting roles in arthouse movies.

Three times, Demi Moore has been married. She was married to musician Freddy Moore from 1981 to 1985.
She married actor Bruce Willis in 1987, and they stayed together until 2000. They have three daughters together. Moore’s third marriage was to Ashton Kutcher, and it lasted from 2005 to 2013.
Her memoir, Inside Out, came out in 2019 and instantly became a New York Times Best Seller.
